New Pac Cup Board Elected

By unanimous vote, the Pacific Cup membership elected a new slate of officers and directors to manage the 2028 Pacific Cup.

Topping the slate is Elizabeth Bishop as Commodore. Elizabeth has done the race twice on Jim Quanci's Green Buffalo and has served as a board member for a number of years, most recently also taking on the role of environmental chair.

At the meeting, Elizabeth expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming race, likely to start in late June or early July of 2028 and immediately set about recruiting committee heads for the various elements that must come together to deliver a successful race.

The elected slate skews considerably toward newer generations as chairs get shuffled to make way for the next watch as custodians of the "FUN race to Hawaii." Several of the older guard, with 20 or 30 years' experience running the race, have voiced great confidence in the group tagged to take on the 2028 race.

Pacific Cup invites all interested in supporting the race to join the PCYC at this link.
