Merlin Clinches Bill Lee Trophy

The Pacific Cup recognizes Bill Lee's foundational contributions to trans-Pacific racing with the Bill Lee trophy, awarded to the best performing Bill Lee designed boat on corrected time. Merlin, the ancestor of so many Fast is Fun designs, will be receiving that prize this year with a performance a good six hours ahead of Oaxaca's forecast time. Both boats have won many Pacific Cup trophies, and this year, Merlin gets this one.

Owner Chip Merlin probably could not resist acquiring the boat of the same name. We hope he's grinning today!
