Wave of Finishers Approaching

arrivals

We've taken off the strategic delay on the tracker. Six boats are already in. Today is a big day for the finish line team with fifteen more boats expected between this writing and midnight.

They'll be ready. Trackers and AIS keep us apprised of the boats' locations, and the racers are required to check in at 100, 25, and 5 miles out. As they approach, Kaneohe Yacht Club's "Leis and Trays" volunteers are preparing a welcome of Mai Tais, pineapple, and, of course, a flower lei.

The boats get agricultural and safety inspections, the crew pose for the obligatory arrival photos, and then they're released to land!

E Komo Mai (welcome) to all the arrivers!
