World renowned sailor and navigator (and past Pac Cup winner) Peter Isler will join us for a presentation on navigation and tactics for the Pacific Cup, Bill and Melinda Erklens will be discussing optimizing your boat, and offshore provisioning, and Quantum Sails’ Jeff Thorpe will be presenting on how to build and utilize your optimal sail inventory for the race.
Nathalie Criou, along with her own Figaro as a demonstration boat, fresh off the Soltaire de Figaro, will be joining us to cover offshore gear, and to provide short-handed sailing tips, and Rowena Carlson will be providing updates on inspections and answering FAQs that have been coming up as the start of Pac Cup 2018 nears. We’ll also be having a session on shipping and small boat logistics to answer all your logistics questions, and in addition to Nathalie’s Figaro, Cal 40 Green Buffalo and Express 27 Magic will be on hand as demonstration boats.
The program will start at , and after an all star panel discussion to wrap up the formal seminar, attendees can retire to the RYC bar for a happy hour which will feature a mixer for skippers looking for crew and crew looking for boats.
