Final Prep Seminar: April 5 at Berkeley YC.
Passage Yachts has stepped up to sponsor our third and final preparation seminar. It will be April 5 at Berkeley Yacht Club.
This seminar will be focusing hard-core, in-depth, on the two
critical functions for victory: sail-handling and weather. Check-in
will be at 9 am with talks starting at 9:30.
Jim Corenman will be discussing weather and how to develop a winning strategy with respect to it. We absolutely guarantee that at least one in three boats participating in this seminar will win a trophy in the race.
Kame Richards will take the helm on the sail and boat handling
discussion. Hopefully you and your complete crew have gone out on the
water alot by now. Hopefully you have been out in the ocean and
experienced those long slow waves that mean the shore is not close.
Okay, let's talk about going fast, whatever that may mean for your
particular boat. No disrespect here, none of us is actually flying....
Other topics to be touched on, though in less depth, include the
inspection process, inflatable pfd's, and shipping your boat home.
And best of all, a barbeque and party. Tell your sweetie to come
on down to the party, have a maitai. This should be mighty good.
