Sailors Helping Sailors

A great thing about the Pacific Cup is the way that veterans help newcomers, and complete strangers will lend their time and equipment just because they are captivated by the idea of the race.

Of course, advice is free, and it is plentiful.  In the case of THIS race, the two thousand miles between hither and yon have a way of sorting the good ideas from the bad.  We're hoping that it's just the good ideas that surface here, but each idea has to be measured against your own common sense!
