Ala Wai Marine Boat Yard

The Ala Wai Marine Ltd. Boat Yard does not seem to exist anymore. The phone (808-946-4213) has been disconnected. Calls to adjacent businesses indicate that the boat yard is not there anymore. The Pac Cup web site says make your reservations there early. Does Pac Cup have anybody in Hawaii to give them a "heads up" on this stuff or are you guys just as surprised as I am?

There are two and only two boatyards left on Oahu. Keehi Marine is at   21° 19.2N 157°53.5W or email at www.keehimarine.com or phone 808 845-6465 and ask for John Francis. The other boatyard is The Phoenician at 21°19.3N 157°07.2W, just past Barbers Point. Call John Gomersal at 808 682-1961. Both yards are good and allow you to some of your own work if you want.

That's not real early, but I hope you found the Keehi Marine Center which is advertised in the race guide and elsewhere, including right next to Ala Wai. They have been a good resource.

Information on the website does become out of date, and we do not always find all the places it may exist.

I've tracked down what you were probably looking at and have changed it.

Keehi btw is not right next

Keehi btw is not right next to Ala Wai but about 7 miles down the road on Sand Is. Kewalo Basin Harbor is next to Ala Wai, with a park in the middle, and does not have haul out or any marine facilities. If you go to Keehi, be sure to lock everything up tight!
