The PCYC site is designed to let the volunteers who contribute to the race communicate with our racers, veterans, fellow volunteers, and the thousands of folks who are interested in it.
You are free to browse around. Some areas are available only to authorized users, but most, like the wind, are free to those who care to take advantage of them.
Maybe all you want is periodic updates of information. No problem. Just sign up for the newsletter.
Before you can write something on the site, or even access some areas, you have to register an account. Once registered, you can log in and add to the site. When authenticated at a higher membership level, you'll be able to create a forum topic, post images, comment on postings, or even collaborate to create a book to help others.
Just click the link. You'll be asked for a few simple items of information like email and your preferred username. Decide whether to accept email from other users. In any case, your email will not be exposed to others.
Once registered, you can log in. Then you can do all the cool stuff. A menu with your username on it will appear in a margin, and it will list all the cool things you can do.
Just click the link here, and a link to reset your password will be sent to you at the email you specified when you set it up.
Our online newsletters are a powerful tool. We use them to get word out to interested folks about race developments, plans, events, and general good times. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER on the site to get the newsletter, but you do have to sign up.
Just type your email into the box provided, and click the "subscribe" button. Within mere days, your email box will be host to nuggets of wisdom like those right here!
There are many places where you can express your thoughts, voice your opinions, or share your experiences. They all have pretty much the same method of operation as described in the "How To Post" article.
On many pages, if you are a registered user, you'll see a "post a comment" link. Click on it and you'll be able to do just that. Other members may have done the same thing, and the comments can often turn into a form of entertainment in and of themselves.
The main place for discourse and debate, the forum. This area allows all registered users to post questions, debate rules, and brag. Browse on over there and add comments to existing topics or create a new topic of your own!

You may "preview" your masterpiece or simply "submit" it. Depending on the item, it will either become immediately publicly available or may be submitted for moderation by the appropriate person.
Well, mostly. If you want to find what you wrote, and it does not appear anywhere you expect to see it, you can always find it in the administer>content link. Some items, like comments, forum posts, and book pages automatically appear somewhere useful. Others, like "pages" need to be added to a menu or a link for anyone to find them.
