2010 Race
Start Date Set, Destination Chosen (Kaneohe). Board at Work.
The board has identified July 5, 2008 as the start date for the first classes of boats in the 2010 Pacific Cup. This means that, as usual, racers will be starting over several days from the fifth to the tenth of July, depending on the ratings range.
Racers may expect favorable afternoon tides for the start, and the date was chosen to provide those tides, as well as the best shot at favorable winds. There won't be much moon till later in the month, so sailors should get used to night sailing!
